H1N1 Vaccine Makers to Receive Tort Immunity 18 Jul 2009
Pursuant to a Health and Human Services emergency provision.  Immunity results from the need make H1N1 vaccines available to the public as quickly as possible.  Providing immunity from injury claims arising from improper or expedited vaccine testing may or may not be desirable, depending on a balancing of flu vs. injury risks.  See the AP story here.
